Which console should you play GTA 6 on?

GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. No PS4, no Xbox One, and no PC version has been announced.

• Where are your friends? For online play, being on the same console matters more than small performance gaps.
• Storage: with a Series S you’ll be deleting games often. A 1 TB console is more comfortable.
• Budget: a standard PS5 or Series X is the safe middle choice.
• Wait a week if you can: launch-week tests will show how each console actually runs the game.
